    Turn your love for literature & social media into something meaningful

    Usawa Literary Review, a bi-annual literary magazine, and Matchbox, its monthly newsletter arm, are looking for two creative minds to join our digital team. You’ll work directly with the editors, helping craft how we share powerful stories across social media. 

    Start date: 17 March, 2025

    Location: Remote.

    Min commitment: 6 months

    SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

    We’re looking for someone who understands both storytelling and social media to grow Usawa x Matchbox’s digital presence.

    What you’ll do:

    • Develop ideas, create posts, and manage accounts on all of our social media platforms. 
    • Build a community online by connecting with writers, readers, and new audiences.
    • Find creative ways to share literary moments that matter.

    You might be perfect if:

    • You’ve grown social media pages (your own or other brands) with authentic storytelling. 
    • You understand each platform’s unique culture and possibilities.
    • You have built online communities.

    RESEARCH & WRITING INTERN

    If you find yourself lost in books and always curious about the stories, trivia, and culture behind them, we want to work with you.

    What you’ll do:

    • Research authors, writing, literary movements, and cultural trends.
    • Help develop content themes that resonate.
    • Curate compelling writing, excerpts, and trivia.
    • Write all copy, from captions to scripts as may be needed for social media.

    You might be perfect if:

    • You’re pursuing literature studies.
    • You appreciate classic as well as contemporary English writing.
    • Your curiosity leads you to unexpected connections and discoveries.
