The Little Journal of North East India x Matchbox by Usawa
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS:
We are thrilled to announce that Matchbox by Usawa and The Little Journal of Northeast India will be collaborating for a special issue this summer.
The May 2025 issue of Matchbox x TLJNE will focus on literature on, from, or about the North East of India. We would especially love translations, artist profiles, writings about other art forms such as music or theater.
For the issue, we are reading poems, flash fiction, art essays/standalone pieces, photo essays, book reviews and personal essays. To participate, email your best work to: All submissions must be based on or inspired by Northeast India.
Requirements to send in your submissions,
1. please keep your email subject in this format: NE Special | Title of your submitted piece | Genre
2. Mention your name, contact details and a ~50 word biographical note in the person
3. Send your submission (Word doc) and your photograph as attachments to the email
4. Before you sign off in the email please write a declaration that the work is your own and not plagiarised from another work/ writer or generated by AI
