Writing Short Essays With Intent
About The Workshop:
It is said that once we visit a memory, the shape of it in our head changes. This means that every time we access the same memory, we’ll be interacting with a different aspect of it. There may come a time that we recreate that specific memory if we’ve visited it endless times. Memory (eventually) borrows from imagination.
In this workshop, we’ll invite our memories to take space on page. It could be a smell, an image, a name, or an object that takes us back to these moments. We’ll let them dampen the pages with intent in the shape of a short essay.
The workshop offers writing sprints, additional generative prompts, discussion of craft tools, and readings from published writers.
