Issue 15 – REFUSE
Two Tankas for a Foreign City
July 25, 2026
On walks up a hill
Past a thousand calm bluebells
To the cathedral
And past translucent faces
A thought or two for stale warmth.
I see a scrap town.
Have I moved oceans across
To write this poem
Threadbare with want, when I speak
I could swallow my own tongue.
