About the Lecture
This lecture traces the arc of feminist poetics from its roots in confessional poetry to the expansive, intersectional work being produced today. We will read and discuss poems by writers who challenge conventions of gender, body, and belonging — and consider what it means to write as a feminist in the current moment.
Participants will engage with close readings, contextual essays, and a moderated discussion. Whether you are a poet, a reader, or a scholar, this session offers a rich, thought-provoking encounter with the cutting edge of feminist verse.
About the Speaker
