About the Lecture
How do women writers navigate the politics and poetics of the body on the page? This lecture examines fiction and memoir that center embodiment — from illness and desire to motherhood and aging — and asks how the body becomes both subject and style.
Through close readings of recent works and guided discussion, we will explore the craft decisions that allow writers to render bodily experience with precision, tenderness, and power.
